Please Note: Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t make use of any outside agent and will not make use of any in the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

The University of Ilorin invites all candidates who have applied for admission into its regular degree programs for the 2025/2026 academic session, either through UTME or Direct Entry, to visit the university’s website, www.unilorin.edu.ng, for information regarding the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Candidates are strongly advised to review all instructions carefully before beginning the registration process, as any incorrect information submitted will not be the responsibility of the university.

Important Notes:

  • Incorrect information will disqualify candidates automatically.

  • Admission decisions will be based on a combination of UTME/DE scores (50%), Post-UTME screening scores (30%), and five relevant O’ level credits (20%).

  • Candidates are encouraged to obtain the official UNILORIN Post-UTME past questions and answers for effective preparation.

Registration Instructions:

  • The registration period will run from 00:01hr on Monday, July 28, 2025, to 00:00hr on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

  • Candidates are required to upload their O’Level and/or A’Level results to JAMB CAPS. Those awaiting results should indicate this by typing/selecting ‘AR.’

  • Candidates wishing to change their course/program must make these changes on JAMB CAPS, not the UNILORIN portal, as the university will periodically update the portal with changes from JAMB CAPS.

  • Before starting the registration, candidates must have a valid email address and mobile number.

  • Registration fees include a payment of ₦2,000 for screening.

  • Ensure all entries are correct before submission, as updates can only be made during the registration period.

  • Print the screening document after registration and check if all information, including the Best Five (5) Subjects and UTME subjects, is correct.

  • For issues with the information displayed on the document, candidates should contact the UNILORIN Admissions Office at admissions@unilorin.edu.ng.

  • For courses such as MBBS, Pharmacy, Optometry, and Computer Engineering, only one sitting of O’Level results will be considered.

Important Note:

  • The O’Level results uploaded on the UNILORIN portal must match the results uploaded on JAMB CAPS by the close of registration.

Registration Procedure:

  1. Access the registration portal via https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/ or https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and select the undergraduate portal.

  2. Under the Admission Menu on the left-hand side, click on Pre-admission Screening Registration.

  3. Fill out the required fields such as JAMB Registration Number, Surname, etc.

  4. Click the ‘Get Details’ button to fetch your UTME/DE information.

  5. Complete all necessary details (including O’level and A’level results or ‘AR’ for awaiting results).

  6. Proceed to make a payment via Remita by selecting your ATM card type and entering the required information.

  7. After payment, click on ‘admission login’ and log in using your JAMB Registration Number and Surname.

  8. Click ‘next step’ and proceed to complete the necessary information. Finally, click the ‘submit’ button once all information is accurate.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

  • The same registration steps apply to Direct Entry candidates. In addition to the UTME details, DE candidates should select their highest academic qualification from the provided drop-down menu and click ‘Save.’

Final Note:

Candidates must be diligent in entering their results, as any errors will be considered deliberate falsification and will lead to automatic disqualification.
