Please Note: Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t make use of any outside agent and will not make use of any in the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 academic session from candidates who selected the university as their first choice in the 2025 UTME. Online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise is scheduled to begin on Monday, 4th August, 2025, and will close at 12:00 AM on Sunday, 31st August, 2025. The academic session is expected to commence in September 2025.

General O'Level Requirement

Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirement of five O’Level credits in relevant subjects, obtained at one or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. Applicants are strongly advised to refer to the FUNAAB Brochure to verify the specific admission requirements for their desired programs before filling out the e-application form.

UTME Candidates

To be eligible for admission, UTME candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Chose FUNAAB as their first-choice institution with a minimum UTME score of 160.

  2. Have five O’Level credits in relevant subjects as specified by the university.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

  1. Candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE) must have a minimum of Upper Credit in National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), NCE, or First Degree in relevant fields.

  2. DE candidates are required to submit their academic transcripts to the Registrar of FUNAAB by Friday, 15th August 2025.

Change of Institution/Course

All request for or enquiries about change of institution/course should be directed to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

Application Procedure

Registration Steps:

  1. Eligible candidates are to click on "Login" and enter their JAMB UTME or JAMB Direct Entry Registration Numbers to generate and print out their Application Invoice, which states their REMITA Reference Number and other information required for payment of a non-refundable screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000) and portal access fee of One Thousand Naira (N1,000), excluding REMITA charges.
  2. Candidates should proceed to any Bank accepting REMITA payment (nationwide) or Online using debit card or via Internet Banking or via the remita website and make payment of the prescribed fee using the REMITA Reference Number.
  3. After payment, candidates are to return to the University's Admission Portal, log in and complete the e-application form as appropriate.
  4. Across several pages, a candidate's personal record as fetched from JAMB’s portal is displayed and cannot be altered. Where applicable, ensure you correctly input required information (contact information, O’Level examination details, OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB result).
  5. On the last page (acknowledgement page), candidates are expected to carefully review their application and confirm the entries before clicking on the Submit button. Candidates should thereafter print out and keep the Application Form displaying their passport photograph.
  6. Application opens on Monday, 21st July, 2025 and closes on Friday, 15th August, 2025..
  7. Correction of wrongly entered data attracts a fee of One Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (₦1,500) only as penalty and can be effected online not later than the closing date of the application. Click here for details.
  8. No complaint of wrong contact details, O’Level results, OND/HND/NCE/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB results shall be entertained after.
  9. Candidates who up-load wrong O’Level results and/or UTME/OND/HND/NCE/A'Level/IJMB/JUPEB results will be automatically disqualified.

Important Notes

  1. Candidates must ensure that O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS by 16th August 2025.

  2. The Post-UTME screening does not require physical presence on campus.

  3. The deadline for Direct Entry candidates to submit transcripts is 15th August 2025.

  4. Candidates must ensure their application is completed before the deadline to be considered for admission.

Part-Time Programmes

Candidates can choose Part-time (weekday evenings) options for available courses, with further details available on the FUNAAB Part-Time Portal.

Important Caution

  1. Wrong Information: Any candidates found to have provided false information will be disqualified and may face legal consequences.

  2. Non-refundable Payment: Payments made for the application are non-refundable, and candidates must ensure they meet the minimum admission requirements before making payment.
