The College of Education and Legal Studies (COELS), Gashua Road, Nguru, Yobe State, has announced the commencement of the sale of application forms for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE).

The announcement was issued through the Office of the Registrar. The examination, scheduled for January 2026, will be conducted in collaboration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

The qualifying examination is aimed at teacher registration and licensing, continuous professional development, enforcement of professional discipline, and the overall enhancement of teaching standards across Yobe State and beyond.

Eligibility and Registration Fees

Applicants are required to pay the prescribed registration fee based on their highest academic qualification as follows:

• PhD holders: ₦10,500

• Master’s degree holders: ₦8,500

• Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE): ₦6,500

• Professional Diploma in Education (PDE): ₦6,500

• Bachelor’s degree holders: ₦6,500

• NCE holders: ₦5,500

• NCE II students: ₦5,500

Candidates are to pay the appropriate fee and present proof of payment at the College TRCN Desk Office for registration. Payments should be made to the following account:
