Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi (FPTB) has officially authorised re-sit examinations for eligible students from the 2024/2025 academic session. The approval comes after a detailed review of second-semester results by the Academic Board.

The decision was formally communicated via an internal memo issued by the Registry, Academic Division, dated 5 January 2026. While the memo is recent, the resolution itself was taken earlier at the Academic Board meeting held on Monday, 18 December 2025. Short notice, yes — but fully valid and binding.

Eligibility Rules You Must Know

This exercise is strictly regulated. There is no room for assumptions.

Only students with carryover courses are permitted to apply.
Students who withdrew from any course are automatically disqualified.
Each eligible student may register a maximum of six courses, whether from the first or second semester. Six means six — no appeals.
Registration must be done personally. No representatives, no shortcuts, no proxy registrations. Period.

Fees And What You Should Not Expect

The Polytechnic has made one thing very clear: there will be no lectures, tutorials, or revision classes for these re-sit exams.

Approved fees are as follows:
    •    ₦20,000 flat registration fee
    •    ₦5,000 per course registered

These payments cover examination logistics only. Nothing more.

    •    Registration Period: Monday, 5 January 2026 to Friday, 9 January 2026
Miss this window and you’re out. No grace period.
    •    Re-Sit Examination Period: Monday, 12 January to Saturday, 17 January 2026
The dates are provisional, but students are strongly advised to prepare on this basis.
