The management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, has announced that it will be hosting a compulsory seminar on Risk, Safety and Security Management for its ND I (Full-Time and Akwapoly Consult) and HND I students.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar on January 8, 2026, the seminar will take place over two days, from Thursday, January 15 to Friday, January 16, 2026, at the New Auditorium (TETFund 2019/2020). The institution has emphasized that attendance at this seminar is mandatory, with certificates only being issued to students who participate.

The seminar schedule has been outlined as follows: On Thursday, January 15, 2026, ND I students from the Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, and Environmental Studies departments will attend from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, while those from Communication Arts, Business & Management will attend from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, HND I students will follow a similar schedule, with Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, and Environmental Studies attending from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and Communication Arts, Business & Management from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The management has further stated that the days allocated to each group of students have been declared lecture, test, and examination-free, to ensure that all affected ND I and HND I students can attend without any conflicts.
