The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates, including those from foreign countries, can now register for the examination at accredited and approved JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) registration centers.

Before proceeding with registration, candidates are required to purchase the JAMB ePIN. Those who have already obtained their ePIN should download and complete the JAMB Registration Template before visiting any accredited CBT registration center. The registration exercise is scheduled to close on Saturday, 28th February, 2026.

The official novel for the 2026 UTME is 'The Lekki Headmaster' by Kabir Alabi Garba. Candidates who complete their registration at an accredited CBT center are entitled to receive a free copy of the novel and are advised to request it if it is not given to them.

Candidates are required to disclose their previous admission status by indicating their previous registration details with the year of UTME/DE at the point of registration. Failure to disclose previous registration or matriculation will automatically invalidate the candidate's registration or previous admission.

To complete their registration, candidates must verify that all information on their registration template has been correctly entered into the registration portal before printing their registration confirmation slip. This can only be done using biometric authentication to confirm valid fingerprint (UTME/DE).

Schools, institutions, tutorial centers, business centers, and cafes can set up their CBT centers to become JAMB CBT agents and training centers to help train students for the upcoming exams.
