The management of Northwest University, Kano, has issued new examination regulations through the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and the Students’ Affairs Division. A circular dated February 13, 2026, and signed by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Musa, outlines the changes, which were made following directives from the University Management and resolutions of the University Examination Committee. One key regulation is that children, including babies and toddlers, are no longer allowed in examination halls. Instead, nursing mothers are advised to use the University crèche, located at the Hajia Rabi Dantata Building on the main campus, for the care and supervision of their children during exams. Students are also required to bring their University identity cards and examination slips to every exam, which must be clearly displayed on their desks throughout the examination. Additionally, phones and bags are strictly prohibited in examination halls, as the University will no longer address cases of theft involving these items. The management urges all students to comply strictly with the regulations to ensure a smooth and orderly examination process.
