The Federal University Lokoja has announced that students who are beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session can now proceed with their registration. The University's ICT Directorate has cleared the affected students, allowing them to continue their registration on the University portal without any restrictions.
For newly admitted 100 Level students who are yet to be issued matriculation numbers, they can access the portal and log in using their JAMB details to complete the necessary registration processes.
Furthermore, students who had already paid their school fees prior to the disbursement of the NELFUND will have their payments refunded. As part of the refund process, beneficiaries under Batch A have already received their refunds, while work is currently ongoing to process refunds for Batch B beneficiaries.
In addition, NELFUND beneficiaries have been exempted from the payment of the ₦5,000 late registration fee, ensuring that affected students can complete their registration without incurring any penalties. This information was provided by the Director of ICT, Mr. Akintokunbo, who reaffirmed the University's commitment to ensuring a seamless process for all NELFUND beneficiaries.
Students are therefore advised to proceed with their registration accordingly, as confirmed by Dr. Tósìn Ọlágúnjú, Director of the Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation at Federal University Lokoja.
