The University Management has noted a decline in the use of official identification cards among staff and students. Due to rising security concerns nationwide and the need for a safe environment, all staff and students are reminded to wear their official ID cards on campus at all times.
The ID card is crucial for identification, helping security personnel distinguish between community members and visitors. It also enhances the institution's security and regulates access to key facilities.
The Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation is sensitizing the community on the need to comply with this requirement. Enforcement will begin three weeks from the date of this notice. After this period, staff and students without valid ID cards will not be allowed into the Senate Building and other sensitive facilities.
Community members are strongly advised to wear their ID cards visibly on campus. Those who have lost their cards should initiate the replacement process through the appropriate channels. The cooperation of all staff and students is necessary for a secure, orderly, and conducive learning environment.
