The management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has given the green light for the 2025/2026 Students’ Union Government (SUG) Parliamentary Election to take place.

According to a circular from the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs, the election will use the manual voting method. The decision has been communicated to all concerned students, with a call to actively participate in the electoral process.

Election details are as follows: Date: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026 Venue: Polytechnic Library Conference Hall Time: 12:30 PM Eligible students have been urged to turn out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility by voting for their preferred candidates.

The announcement was signed by Dr. Unyime P. Udoudo, Dean of Students’ Affairs, on behalf of the institution’s management. Copies of the circular have been distributed to key administrative offices to ensure widespread awareness across the campus. Students are advised to be guided accordingly.
