The Vice Chancellor of Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Prof. MZ Umar, extends an invitation to the University community and the general public to attend the 4th Inaugural Lecture. The lecture, titled 'Invisible Enemies, Visible Losses: A Lifetime of Confronting Fungal Threats to Nigerian Agriculture and Public Health', will be presented by Prof. Kasimu Shehu, Professor of Plant Pathology and Mycology in the Department of Biological Sciences at FUBK.

Under the chairmanship of Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Birnin Kebbi, the event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, at 11:00 AM. The venue for the lecture will be the SLH2 Lecture Theatre, located on the Main Campus.
