The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into its Post Basic Nursing Diploma Programmes. The available programmes include Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Nephrology, and Ophthalmic.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following admission requirements: (i) possess a West African School Certificate/General Certificate of Education/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with passes at Credit Level in five papers obtained at not more than two sittings. These papers must include English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Additionally, applicants must have a professional qualification/experience as follows: (i) be a Registered Nurse duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, (ii) have at least 1-year post-registration clinical/working experience in the relevant area of specialty.

The duration of the course is 12 calendar months, commencing from November 2026. Limited accommodation is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To apply, candidates must obtain the application form from the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital website. The request for the application form must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) or its dollar equivalent for foreign applicants. This fee is payable through Remita.

The steps to make the payment are as follows: 1. Go to remita.net 2. Click on Pay FGN and State TSA 3. Select and click FGN Federal Government of Nigeria 4. Type University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital as the payee 5. Select UITH GENERAL PURPOSE as the name of service/purpose 6. Fill in all other information and make the payment.

The closing date for submission of completed application forms is 31st July 2026. The selection/interview dates will be communicated later.
