The Management of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Kogi State, has taken disciplinary action against five students for various offences. Two 200-level female students were expelled for involvement in lesbianism, while two other students were expelled for physical assault and cloning of students' pictures. Another student was rusticated for one academic session for involvement in fighting and physical assault.
The decision was made by the University's Senate at its 30th Regular Meeting held on April 29, 2026. The Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu, notified the affected students in separate letters, stating that the Senate's decision takes immediate effect.
The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, commended the Students' Disciplinary Committee for their thorough and diligent work. He emphasized that the University remains committed to training students in both character and learning, and will not compromise on discipline and adherence to the institution's rules and regulations.
The affected students and their sanctions are as follows: 1. Ezekiel Precious Omeneke - Expulsion for lesbianism 2. Aku Joy Chinyere - Expulsion for lesbianism 3. Musa Abdulhakeem Onimisi - Expulsion for physical assault and stabbing of a student 4. Dominion Kolade A. - Expulsion for cloning of pictures of two female students 5. Agbakaru Kosikochukwu - Rustication for one academic session for physical assault.
