The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) is set to hold its Inaugural Founders' Day. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 22nd May 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the FUNATO Football Field, Okeho, Oyo State.
Key highlights of the event include a public lecture titled “University Education: Everybody’s Responsibility – Reclaiming the Nigerian University as a Catalyst for National Renewal” by Prof. A. S. Gbadegesin, former Vice-Chancellor, LAUTECH. Additionally, there will be a talk on Substance Abuse by Pastor Yemi Famoroti, selection of the University Anthem, and presentation of awards to the winner and runners-up. The commissioning of FUNATO Radio and other entertaining events are also lined up.
All students of the University are mandatorily required to attend the ceremony as attendance will form part of the Continuous Assessment (CA) for the First Semester, 2025/2026 Academic Session. All staff, students, and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 a.m.
The event promises to be historic, and the university looks forward to the presence of all attendees. The event is signed off by AMUNI Muhammed Olayinka, Registrar.
