The College of Nursing Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AE-FUTHA), Abakaliki, has commenced admission into its Nursing Council-approved Post Basic Nursing Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Applications are currently ongoing for the following one-year programmes: Accident and Emergency Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Nephrology Nursing, and Orthopedic Nursing.

To be eligible, candidates must possess five credit passes in WAEC, NECO or GCE in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. They must also be qualified nurses duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and possess a current practising licence.

The application fee is Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Naira (₦25,200). To apply, visit the College's official admission portal at http://cons-admission.aefutha.edu.ng to create an account and begin the application process. After account creation, log in to the admission portal using the username and password created to generate Remita RRR and make payment. After payment, candidates are to log in again to confirm payment and complete the application process.

Successful applicants are expected to print their examination slip containing details of the examination date, venue, and other relevant information. Important dates to note include the application deadline of 21st September, 2026, and the entrance examination date of Wednesday, 26th September, 2026.
