The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Senate has made a significant decision regarding the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.

The Senate Secretary, on behalf of the Chairman, issued a notice to inform the university community about this development.

The notice highlights that the Mid-Semester Break, initially scheduled for Monday, 13th July, to Friday, 17th July, 2026, has been canceled.

• The reason for this cancellation is the late resumption of students for the Second Semester, which affected the commencement of lectures in many departments.
• As a result, it has become necessary to adjust the academic schedule to ensure that reasonable portions of the course contents are covered.

Pursuant to the current realities of syllabus coverage, the Chairman of the Senate has approved the continuation of lectures throughout the week initially scheduled for the mid-semester break.

Deans, Heads of Departments, and the university community are requested to take note of this decision and give it the necessary publicity.

The university aims to strictly comply with the Senate-approved academic calendar while considering the current realities of the syllabus coverage made so far in the respective programs.
