Babcock University: Fraudulent Admission Letter Alert…

Aug, 14Views: 37

Babcock University, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has been made aware of a fake document circulating online and on social media platforms, claiming to be an official admission letter for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The University categorically states that this document is false and misleading, and it did not originate from the institution. The following clarifications have been made:

  • The admission letter currently in circulation is not genuine and does not come from Babcock University.
  • Babcock University does not extend admission offers through social media flyers, WhatsApp messages, or any unofficial platform. All admission decisions are processed through the University's official admissions system, and successful candidates receive their admission letters through approved institutional channels.
  • The University does not request applicants to make admission-related payments into personal accounts or any account communicated through unofficial sources. Babcock University has not authorized any payment of N810,000 or any other amount into the Wema Bank account number 7353747257 or any other account referenced in the fraudulent document.
  • The University has not introduced any admission package that includes free laptops and textbooks.
  • Babcock University does not have a Registrar Admissions, and therefore, Dr. Joshua Suleiman is not a Registrar Admissions at the University. Any document bearing such a designation should be treated as fraudulent.

Members of the public, prospective students, parents, guardians, and all stakeholders are advised to exercise caution and verify all admission-related information directly through the University's official platforms.

OFFICIAL CHANNELS FOR ADMISSION INFORMATION

All authentic admission information, application procedures, payment details, and official announcements are published exclusively through:

  • Official Website: www.babcock.edu.ng
  • Admissions Portal: admissions.babcock.edu.ng

The University strongly advises the public to disregard the fraudulent document and to refrain from making any payment or disclosing personal information to the telephone number 08037713915 or to any individual claiming to represent Babcock University through the fake admission scheme.

Any person who has made payment or provided personal information in response to the fraudulent communication is advised to immediately report the matter to the nearest law enforcement agency and notify the University for appropriate action.
