Why JAMB Will Not Release The Top Scorers’ Names In The 2024 UTME

He emphasized that the UTME serves as a ranking examination and it's unrealistic to assume that the highest scorer will automatically secure admission. This decision was made to prevent a recurrence of the 'Mmesoma saga' from the 2023 UTME. Oloyede highlighted the complexity of admission criteria across institutions, making it challenging to determine a definitive list of top scorers. He stressed the importance of verifying candidates' claims before awarding prizes.
