Interested candidates can now apply for the School of Foundation Studies at the University of Lagos for the 2024/2025 academic session.
If admission is secured for the program, students will attend classes for several month in order to prepare for the examination, which would be conducted by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board(JUPEB)
Successful candidates stand a chance of getting a direct entry admission into 200 level at UNILAG with also an opportunity for admission into partner universities. The chances are based on the performance of the candidates.
Candidates are evaluated based on the points they have. Each candidate can have from zero to sixteen points.
UNILAG offers a wide range of academic pathways for intersted candidates. Candidates course of study determines his/her subject combination.

A minimum of five credits, including Mathematics, English Language and three relevant subjects obtained in one sitting at WASSCE, NECO oe GCE examination is required from each applicants.
In order to successfully apply for the School of Foundation study, adhere to the following steps
Visit the School of Foundation Studies website to learn more about the application form sales.
Access the application site.
Click on the “School of Foundation Studies” under the prospective student’s menu.
Review the subject combinations relevant to your intended course of study for Direct Entry admission. Note any changes to previous combinations.
Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a payment reference number (PRN) using your correct names as stated on your birth certificate and other relevant documents.
Make a payment of ₦35,000 (excluding bank charges) at any commercial bank in Nigeria using the PRN.
Return to the application site and log in with the PRN as your username and your surname in lowercase as the password.
Complete the application form and print two copies for your records.
Your examination pass will be available online a week before the examination date. Print a copy for yourself.
Application opens on Monday, May 13, 2024, and closes on Friday, August 9, 2024.
The entrance examination will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos.
The CBT Entrance examination will last for forty-five(45) minutes. 20 multiple-choice questions(MCQ) each will be administered for both Mathematics and English Language while 15 multiple-choice questions(MCQ) each will be administered for the three other relevant subjects.
please note that candidates who chose Mathematics as one of their three subject combinations must choose Further Mathematics for the entrance examination.

Merely passing the JUPEB examination does not assure entry into your desired course. The university may employ supplementary evaluations or alternative criteria to finalize the list of accepted students.
