COOU: SUG Dissolved, Students Week Cancelled

The Students Union Government of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has been dissolved due to the expiration of the tenure of its appointed members.

The Student Affairs Department took this step to prevent any activities by the SUG from being deemed illegal after their tenure had ceased.

Efforts are underway to elect new SUG officeholders through an online channel.

As a result of the dissolution, the previously announced Students Week, scheduled for May 5-8, 2026, has been cancelled.

A new date for COOU Students Week will be announced following the forthcoming SUG elections.
