The Student Union Government of the University of Maiduguri has announced the forthcoming 2026 Inter-Faculty Competitions. The event, organized by the Office of the Minister for Academic Advancement and Opportunities, aims to promote academic excellence, leadership development, intellectual engagement, and healthy interaction among students across the university.

The program will be a two-day event, featuring a conference on the theme 'Sustainable Human Capital Development of Youths in Nigeria' on Day One. This will be followed by networking and mentorship sessions in various fields, including Technology, Graphics and Creative Design, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Professional Development.

On Day Two, the Inter-Faculty Competitions will take place, comprising a Quiz Competition, Parliamentary Debate, and Public Speaking (PowerPoint Presentation). Faculty Presidents are requested to ensure timely nomination and coordination of participants for the various competitions. Detailed guidelines for each category will be communicated separately through official correspondence.
