The Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has approved the distribution of Smart Identification Cards to full-time undergraduate students admitted in the 2024/2025 academic session, as part of her efforts to digitize services.
The new Smart ID Card will serve as both an identity card and a payment card, providing seamless access to academic and financial services. It will also be used for access control and authentication across the university premises.
The Smart ID Card will enable holders to perform transactions at ATMs, Point-of-Sale terminals, and online, preventing identity fraud and protecting holders' data.
The Vice-Chancellor has directed all students to visit their respective Faculties or Schools to collect their Smart ID Cards. For further information, students can send an email to mailsupport@lasu.edu.ng or director.ict@lasu.edu.ng.
