SSU: New Campus Security Measures Announced (August 2026)

The university community is hereby notified that the management, during its 199th meeting on 27 August 2026, revisited the security circular issued on 20 August 2026 and adopted the following resolutions:

  • Cattle grazing on campus is prohibited effective immediately; the Chief Security Coordinator is instructed to take note.
  • All social gatherings are suspended until further notice.
  • Any student association or union elections that have not yet taken place are postponed until further notice.

Consequently, staff and students should continue with their regular academic programmes as usual.

All members of the community are urged to stay alert and report any suspicious individuals or groups in motion.
