The university is now inviting applications from qualified indigent students—those hailing from less‑privileged backgrounds—who wish to be considered for the ASUU Indigent Students’ Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic session.

CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD

• Must be classified as an indigent student.
• Must be currently enrolled at Yobe State University.
• Must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 achieved in the most recent academic session.
• Must be at least a 200‑level student.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Prospective candidates should draft a concise application letter not exceeding two (2) pages, clearly articulating the reasons they deserve the scholarship. The letter should be directed to:

The letter must include the following details:

• Full name and registration number of the applicant.
• Programme of study, department, faculty, and current year of study.
• State of origin.

The application must be accompanied by these supporting documents:

• A photocopy of the current student identification (ID) card.
• A duly signed and stamped Sessional Report for the previous session, verified by the Head of Department.
• A photocopy of the current session’s Course Registration Form (CRF).
• Two (2) recent passport‑size photographs.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

All applications must be delivered to the selection committee no later than 12:00 p.m. on 28 September 2026.
