The Students' Union Government of Federal University Wukari has officially prohibited the practice of breaking bottles and pouring wine during final-year 'signing-out' festivities, citing serious safety and environmental concerns.

In an official memorandum, the union leadership expressed concern over the increasing trend of these activities among graduating students. According to the SUG, the practice has led to excessive littering and poses a direct physical threat to members of the university community.

The management emphasized that the behavior is considered 'inappropriate' and creates a hazardous environment. The presence of broken glass on campus grounds increases the likelihood of injuries for students and staff alike.

Any student found engaging in this act will be liable to disciplinary action in accordance with the rules and regulations of the university.

While the union acknowledges the importance of celebrating academic milestones, they have urged all students to celebrate responsibly. The directive aims to maintain the dignity and safety of the institution while ensuring that festivities do not come at the expense of others' well-being.
