The Management of Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, has addressed claims of delays in certificate issuance, describing them as false and misleading. In a public notice, the institution clarified that current administrative hurdles were inherited from previous administrations, specifically citing irregularities tied to certain study centers.
Under the leadership of Prof. Idowu O. Eluwa, and with the backing of the Dr. Alex Otti-led Abia State Government, the college is undergoing a rigorous repositioning exercise to restore institutional integrity.
To educate the public on the standard operating procedures, the College PRO emphasized that NCE certificates are not printed locally by individual institutions. Instead, they are centrally managed by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Abuja. The process involves several critical stages: validation, printing, inscription, and authentication.
The institution confirmed that certificates have already arrived from Abuja and are currently in the inscription phase. Once this stage is completed, they will be returned for final authentication. The College has reassured all verified graduates holding valid Statements of Results that their certificates will be ready for collection within three weeks.
The statement concluded, urging those spreading misinformation to retract their claims and recognize the institution's significant financial and administrative progress.
