The Students' Union Government of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU) in Lapai disclosed a subsidized transport scheme aimed at facilitating students' return to campus as classes restart.
A notice issued on October 3, 2026 notes that the plan was made possible by the Director‑General of Student Affairs for Niger State together with the Director‑General of the Niger State Transport Authority (NSTA).
The SUG explained that after consultations with transport partners, a lowered, fixed fare was negotiated to lessen the financial strain on learners during this time.
Students of IBBUL traveling from Minna toward Lapai are urged to use the subsidized service and be punctual at the loading point.
The SUG also expressed gratitude to the partners and stakeholders for their cooperation and support in prioritizing student welfare.
Best regards, IBBUL community!
