The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has warned the public about the activities of fraudsters claiming to offer admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Admission into FUTA, like other similar institutions, is handled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and is a carefully monitored process that is resistant to manipulation.
Currently, only registration for intending candidates is underway, and no admissions have been offered as the process has not yet reached that stage.
This notice serves as a warning to all intending candidates, their parents, sponsors, and the general public to be cautious of scammers peddling false information about the admission process and offering fake admissions in exchange for money.
Candidates, parents, guardians, and the public are strongly advised not to pay any money to individuals or groups for the purpose of checking results, uploading results, or influencing the admission process in any way.
Admission is strictly based on merit and cannot be influenced.
Signed, C.O. Adeleye, Registrar, FUTA
