The Yobe State University (YSU) has published its provisional admission roster for the 2026/2027 academic session. This announcement serves all candidates who took part in the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise, inviting them to verify whether their names appear on the list of successful applicants.
Prospective students can now access the admission list online through the JAMB CAPS portal. Follow the steps below to confirm your status:
If the system finds your name, it will display your photograph along with a congratulatory message confirming the admission offer. Conversely, if you have not yet received an offer, the portal will show a message stating “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet”.
Candidates who receive an admission offer must indicate their decision by sending an SMS containing the word ACCEPT or REJECT to either 55019 or 66019, using the mobile number linked to their JAMB profile.
A four‑week window is provided for applicants to respond to the offer. Those who cannot use their registered phone number should visit any JAMB‑accredited centre to submit their acceptance or rejection.
After confirming acceptance, it is essential to print the admission letter, as this document will be required during the clearance process and subsequent registration at the university.
Note for mobile users: The “Admission Status” option may not appear on the CAPS interface when accessed via a phone, often showing only a welcome screen. To view the full page, switch to desktop mode—Chrome’s “Request desktop site” feature works well for this purpose.
Congratulations to all students who have secured admission to Yobe State University!
