The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the registration procedure for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE). The sale of e-pins for UTME registration commences on January 19, 2026, and ends on February 26, 2026, while registration begins on January 26, 2026, and ends on February 28, 2026.
Direct Entry e-PIN vending and registration will start on March 2, 2026, and end on April 25, 2026. Candidates are advised to read all the requirements and details on the JAMB website before proceeding with registration.
The official book to read for the 2026 UTME is 'The Lekki Headmaster' by Kabir Alabi Garba. Candidates can use our CBT Exam Website or the TestDriller JAMB CBT Software (for both computers and mobile phones), both of which contain past questions and answers. Also, check out our Memory Game Room for some mental drill.
Schools, institutions, tutorial centers, business centers, and cafes can set up their CBT centers to become JAMB CBT agents and training centers. Details on how to proceed are available on the JAMB website.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2026/2027 academic session. Only candidates who will not be less than 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to apply.
The UTME results of underage candidates will be released only after an intensive evaluation process. Once a candidate completes the 2026 registration with biodata supplied by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), subsequent changes of biodata will not be affected by JAMB for the 2026 admission.
The Board will maintain its cashless registration system for the 2026 UTME/DE registration to prevent exploitation of candidates. There will be three categories of e-pins: Direct Entry (N5,700), UTME without mock (N7,200), and UTME with mock (N8,700).
Candidates are advised to ensure that only their own ten fingers are captured individually and correctly at the CBT center. The use of multiple National Identification Numbers (NINs) by a single candidate for double registration, impersonation, or any form of identity manipulation is strictly prohibited.
Registration periods for UTME candidates, including those from foreign countries, are from January 26, 2026, to February 28, 2026. E-PIN vending for UTME begins on January 19, 2026, and ends on February 26, 2026.
Candidates can access the JAMB e-Brochure and e-Syllabus on the JAMB website. The general entry requirements for 100-level degree/ND/NCE (UTME) include a minimum of five credit passes in English and other relevant subjects obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry requirements include a minimum of five SSCE (O'level) credit passes at not more than two sittings, with at least two at the Principal or Advanced level. Other acceptable qualifications are also listed on the JAMB website.
Candidates are advised to pre-verify their DE qualification before completing their DE registration. At the point of registration, all DE candidates must provide the registration/matriculation number of the previous school attended, subject(s) of qualification, awarding institution, affiliated institution (if applicable), and year of graduation.
The step-by-step procedure for the purchase of 2026 UTME/DE registration documents includes creation of profile, obtaining a profile code, and purchasing an e-PIN. Candidates can retrieve a lost profile code by sending 'RESEND' from their unique phone number to 55019 or 66019.
The registration process at CBT centers includes presenting the profile code and e-PIN, capturing biometrics and photograph, and printing the registration slip. Candidates with biometric challenges can only register at JAMB National and State offices.
The 2026 UTME will commence on April 16, 2026, and end on April 25, 2026. The venue of the examination will be at any center in the candidate's chosen examination town. Candidates are advised to register on time, as their preferred town may no longer have space for them.
The registration fee is non-refundable, and candidates are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission before commencing the registration process. Candidates are also warned that examination malpractice is a criminal offense that attracts cancellation of results, publication of names, and prosecution of offenders.
