The Faculty of Education at Ahmadu Bello University has officially announced the commencement of the Long Vacation Term (LVT) 2026/2027 Programme. Applications are now invited for the 2026 contact session across various specialized departments.

Available Academic Programmes include the Department of Arts and Social Science Education, which offers B.A (Ed) in Arabic, English, and Hausa, as well as B.Ed in CRS and Islamic Studies, and B.Ed in Language Arts and Social Studies.

The Department of Educational Foundation and Curriculum offers B.Ed in Educational Administration and Planning, and B.Ed in Adult Education and Community Development. The Department of Home Economics / Hospitality Management offers B.Sc (Ed) in Home Economics, with specializations in Hotel and Hospitality Management, Nutrition and Food Management, Fashion Design and Merchandizing, and Early Childhood Education.

The Department of Science Education offers B.Sc (Ed) in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics, as well as B.Sc (Ed) in Integrated Science, and B.Ed in Mathematics Education. Other Departments include Library Science, which offers a Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS), Human Kinetics, which offers B.Sc (Ed) in Human Kinetics and Health Education, Vocational/Technical, which offers B.Sc (Ed) in Agric Education and Business Education, and Psychology, which offers B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling.

Application and Resumption Details: Form sales will be available from 1st April, 2027 to 31st July, 2027, and can be purchased at A.B.U. Micro Finance Bank, Zaria, for N2,800.00 Only. The resumption date is set for Friday, 24th July, 2027, at the A.B.U. Main Campus (Tentative). Note that no part payment will be accepted at registration.
