Chrisland University, Abeokuta, has achieved a significant academic milestone with the National Universities Commission (NUC) approving accreditation for its Mass Communication and International Relations and Diplomacy programmes, as well as its Law programme.
The accreditation was granted following a thorough evaluation by the NUC, assessing the university's academic standards, staffing, infrastructure, and curriculum. This accreditation status confirms that the Mass Communication, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Law programmes have met the commission's minimum academic standards.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun, announced the accreditation and noted that it reflects the university's strategic investment in human capital development, learning facilities, and curriculum advancement over the years. She expressed appreciation to the Board of Trustees for their commitment and dedication to the institution's growth and advancement. The Vice-Chancellor also commended the management and staff for their dedication and commitment to the success of the accreditation exercise, describing the outcome as a testament to the university's commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the accreditation exercise is a peer review mechanism aimed at ensuring quality assurance in all aspects of academic delivery. Since its founding in 2015, Chrisland University has continued to expand its programmes while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The latest accreditation results are expected to boost the confidence of parents, students, and stakeholders, enhance graduate employability, and further establish the university as a center for academic excellence.
