The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Professor Ahmad Muhammed Gumel, has approved the appointment of Professor Gambo Babandi Gumel as the Pioneer Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies.
The appointment, which takes effect from 15th May, 2026, is for an initial period of two years. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new Provost and prayed to Allah to grant him success in his new assignment.
In a related development, the Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Senate, had earlier approved the conversion of the School of Postgraduate Studies to the College of Postgraduate Studies on 26th April 2026. As a result, the Dean will now be addressed as Provost, and the Secretary will be added as Director. Congratulations to the newly appointed Director.
