The Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education in Owerri has posted its provisional admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. All applicants who took part in the admission screening exercise are now invited to verify whether they appear on the list of successful candidates.

The list is accessible online through the JAMB CAPS portal. Candidates should follow the steps below to confirm their status.

• Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and sign in using the email address and password you registered with to reach your personal dashboard
• Select the option labeled “Check Admission Status”
• Choose “Access my CAPS”
• Click on “Admission Status” to view whether an offer has been made to you

If the system finds your name, it will display your photograph along with a congratulatory message confirming the admission offer. If you have not been selected, the portal will show a text stating, “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet.”

Applicants who receive an offer can either accept or decline it by sending the word ACCEPT or REJECT via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.

You have a four‑week window to respond to the admission offer. Those who cannot access the registered phone number must visit a JAMB‑accredited centre to submit their acceptance or rejection.

After you have accepted the offer, it is essential to print the admission letter, as you will likely need this document during the clearance and registration processes at the university.

Note for mobile users: the “Admission Status” option may not appear when accessing CAPS from a phone; many users only see the welcome screen.
