The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) in Nasarawa State has approved a one‑year extension of the term of its Registrar, Dr. Nuradeen Abdu.
The decision was taken during the council’s 28th Regular Meeting, which convened recently in the Old Senate Chamber of the Permanent Site Campus.
Council Chairman Dr. Modupeola Adebimpe Adebajo praised Dr. Abdu for the extension, highlighting his role in revitalising the Registry Department and his broader contributions to the university’s development.
Adebajo noted that “the registrar has contributed significantly to the administration and development of the institution.”
Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida also extended his congratulations, wishing Dr. Abdu continued success in fulfilling his duties.
With the approved extension, Dr. Abdu will remain in the registrar position at FULafia until 2028.
