The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State has started selling application forms for the Special Placement and Relocation of students already placed into public junior secondary schools for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The notice was issued in a press release signed by Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi A. Arigbabu, dated 17 September 2026.

According to the ministry, the window for purchasing the 2026/2027 Special Placement and Relocation forms runs from Monday 1 September 2026 through Friday 27 November 2026. The Special Placement scheme traditionally targets Primary Six graduates from neighboring states who wish to enroll in Ogun State public junior secondary schools.

The Relocation component is designed for pupils who want to move from the school they were initially assigned to another public junior secondary school, usually because their parents or guardians have been relocated or for other legitimate reasons.

Application procedure: prospective candidates must access the DPER portal at https://egun.ogunstate.gov.ng/ogin and sign in with their Learner Identification Number (LIN) credentials.

Parents registering children from outside Ogun State must submit a verification letter to the ministry before they can obtain a LIN and proceed with registration.

Once logged in, users should go to the “My Application” submenu under “School Transfer” in the Enrolment Manager, click “Create Application” from the Action Menu, choose “2026/2027 Relocation and Special Placement,” and enter the verified LIN to generate their profile.

Applicants then pick their preferred school; admission will be allocated according to the established quota system.

To finalize the process, candidates must click the “Make Payment” button and pay the non‑refundable N5,000 (Five Thousand Naira) fee per form, complete the application, submit it to the chosen school, and attach a photocopy of the promotion result.
