Admission Notice For OAUTHC 2024/2025 Academic Session At The School Of Community Health.

Qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission into the School of Community Health for the 2024/2025 academic session at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife.

The training programmes, lasting either one or two calendar years, will begin in September 2024 and will lead to the award of a Higher Diploma in Community Health.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(A). EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must have a West African School Certificate/GCE "O" Level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with five credit passes in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

  1. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ONE (1) CALENDAR YEAR PROGRAMME

In addition to the educational qualifications listed above, candidates must meet the following professional qualifications and experience:

  • Must be a qualified Community Health Extension Worker.
  • Must have a First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health, or an HND in Community Health.
  • Must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess a current practicing license.
  1. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR TWO (2) CALENDAR YEARS PROGRAMME

In addition to the educational qualifications listed above, candidates must meet the following professional qualifications and experience:

  • Must have a Diploma in Community Health.
  • Must have a Community Health Extension Workers Certificate with five years of experience.
  • Must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess a current practicing license.

(B). WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL INTERVIEW

Admission selection will be based on candidates’ performance in a competitive written test and an oral interview, scheduled for Monday, July 8, and Tuesday, July 9, 2024, respectively.

Candidates are required to bring their original certificates and practicing licenses to the examination centre.

(C). METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application forms can be obtained from the School of Community Health, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, starting Monday, February 5, 2024. The form costs Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) and payment should be made into the OAUTHC School Account via REMITA PLATFORM (Account Number 0280190665014, GIFMIS code 1000277586) at any commercial bank. Indicate the purpose of payment as "Admission Form into School of Community Health."

After payment, the evidence of payment should be presented at the school to collect the admission form.

(D). CLOSING DATE

Completed application forms, endorsed by sponsors, along with photocopies of relevant credentials, should be submitted to the School of Community Health, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, by Friday, June 28, 2024.
