The Federal University of Technology, Akure has announced plans to celebrate its 2026 Asa Day, a significant cultural event. According to the Registrar, Mr. Charles Adeleye, the celebration will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026. Asa Day is an annual event that showcases Nigeria's rich heritage and traditional values, highlighting diverse traditions through indigenous attire and local cuisines. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, has encouraged staff and students to wear traditional attire on the designated date to show support for the cultural cause.
