The Federal University Dutse has announced a one-week mid-semester break for staff and students to celebrate the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr festivities.
According to a circular from the Office of the Registrar, the break will start on Monday, March 23, 2026, and end on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Academic activities for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session will resume on Monday, March 30, 2026.
The university management clarified that the mid-semester break only affects students' academic activities, while other university operations and essential services will continue as scheduled. Students are advised to take note of the break period and resume promptly, as academic activities will continue without delay after the break.
The circular, signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Senate, Abubakar Mijinyawa, urged all members of the university community to comply with the directive. Copies of the circular were forwarded to various university officials and notice boards across the university.
The university management wishes all Muslim faithful and the entire university community a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Fitr celebration in advance and encourages everyone to return safely to campus after the break.
