The Federal University of Lafia has announced vacancies for the positions of University Librarian and Bursar. The position of University Librarian will be vacant on July 2, 2026, while the position of Bursar will be vacant on May 5, 2026.
The University Librarian is a Principal Officer responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library system. To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate visionary leadership, personal integrity, and the ability to command respect among staff. They must also be professionally qualified and practicing Librarians/Academics with a good honors degree and a PhD in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) and at least 15 years of relevant experience.
For the position of Bursar, the candidate must be able to coordinate strategic financial plans and maintain accurate records of assets and liabilities. They must possess a good honors degree in Accounting and be a qualified member of a professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent. A minimum of 15 years of cognate experience, 10 of which must be in the university system, is required.

Applications should be submitted in sealed envelopes marked 'University Librarian' or 'Post of Bursar' to the Registrar, Federal University of Lafia, P.M.B. 146, Lafia, Nasarawa State. The closing date for submission is six weeks from the date of publication.
