IfeanHealth Scholarship & Scholar Program (ISSP) has officially commenced its second edition, building on the success of the inaugural edition that supported outstanding Prosthetics & Orthotics students across Nigeria and Africa.

Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Practice

The prosthetics and orthotics sector in Africa faces a significant shortage of highly skilled professionals, and IfeanHealth recognizes that nurturing talents today is crucial for the future of rehabilitation medicine on the continent. The ISSP 2.0 is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world clinical practice, aiming to build a new generation of professionals equipped to restore mobility, dignity, and hope to individuals living with physical disabilities.

Program Benefits

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support designed to accelerate their professional development:

  • Financial scholarship grant of One Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 100,000)
  • Eligibility to apply for the IfeanHealth Scholar Program for advanced training opportunities
  • Hands-on clinical exposure in real healthcare settings
  • Practical industry experience under professional supervision
  • Mentorship from experienced Prosthetics & Orthotics practitioners
  • Exposure to clinical and research environments

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate excellence, passion, and leadership potential. To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be a student at any accredited Prosthetics & Orthotics institution in Nigeria or Africa
  • Have successfully completed 300 level or ND2 with a minimum CGPA of 3.0
  • Score a minimum of 75% in the qualifying examination
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential
  • Show passion for rehabilitation, innovation, and patient-centered care
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be willing to participate in training, mentorship, and evaluation activities
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with disabilities

Selection Process

The rigorous selection process ensures that only the most exceptional candidates are chosen. The process includes:

1. Initial screening of submitted applications

2. Assessment of technical knowledge and aptitude

3. Evaluation of interpersonal skills and professional aspirations

4. Final Selection Decision by the ISSP Committee
