The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), located in Lapai, has officially published an updated academic calendar that outlines the remaining activities for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to the revised timetable issued by the Directorate of Academic Planning, classroom sessions for the second semester are scheduled to commence on Monday, 5 October 2026, and will continue through Saturday, 31 October 2026, encompassing a total of four weeks of instruction.
During this period, the university will hold its Computer‑Based Test (CBT) from 12 October to 17 October 2026, after which the second‑semester examinations are planned to take place between 2 November and 21 November 2026.
Following the conclusion of the examinations, a semester break has been allotted, running from 22 November 2026 up to 18 January 2027, during which regular academic activities will be paused.

The university further communicated that both incoming and returning students for the 2026/2027 academic session are expected to report for registration and resume their studies starting on 18 January 2027.
In addition, the schedule recognises the national public holidays of Christmas Day on 25 December 2026, Boxing Day on 26 December 2026, and New Year’s Day on 1 January 2027.
The updated academic calendar bears the signature of Prof. Kabir Mohammed Adamu, who serves as the Director of Academic Planning, and it was formally signed on 2 October 2026.
