The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has extended its 2025/2026 admission exercise following a directive from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The new deadline for the exercise is Monday, 17 November 2025.

The extension offers another opportunity for qualified candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to apply for admission into selected programmes that remain open at the University.

Available Programmes
Prospective students can still apply to the following faculties and departments:

• Faculty of Agriculture

• Faculty of Education

• Department of Religious and Cultural Studies

• Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies

• Department of Mathematics

• Department of Statistics

UNICAL emphasized that only the programmes listed above are currently open for admission, while other departments have concluded their intake for the session.

The University management urges interested candidates to take advantage of this final extension and submit their applications before the deadline. Applicants are also advised to ensure the accuracy of all submitted information to prevent any delay or disqualification during the admission process.
