Taraba State University has issued a directive regarding the completion of final year academic activities. The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research) has announced that all Departments must conclude Final Year Seminar and Project I defenses before the start of the end-of-first-semester examinations.
According to an internal memorandum signed by Linus William Naiman, Head of Senate and Ceremonial, Deans and Heads of Departments (HODs) are required to ensure compliance with this directive within the stipulated timeframe. This move follows a formal resolution by the University Senate to streamline the academic calendar.
The memorandum emphasizes that the matter be treated with urgency and importance to avoid delays in the examination process. Key highlights of the directive include immediate compliance and the need for students in their final year to stay in close contact with their respective departments to ensure they meet all defense schedules before the exams begin.
