The College of Community Health, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the Higher Diploma in Community Health for the 2026/2027 academic session.
General requirements for all applicants include a Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) with a valid license and a minimum of five credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings. Required subjects are English, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Physics, and Chemistry.
For the one-year program, candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Community Health, Public Health, or Health Education. To apply, payment must be made physically at the UMTH billing office. The fee for the one-year program is N10,000, while the two-year program is N5,000.
After payment, candidates can obtain and complete the application form directly from the College of Community Health, UMTH. The application window is open from 4th May 2026 to 30th June 2026, and all completed forms must be returned to the College on or before 14th July 2026. An entrance exam and interview will be held from 20th July 2026 to 24th July 2026.
