The Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State, has reminded students about the ban on hosting musical equipment and promotional activities at the institution's gates during celebrations.
In a memorandum from the Division of Student Affairs, the school authority noted that while student organizations can celebrate their designated 'Days', the restriction at the main and second gates remains in force.
Key directives for student celebrations include: the gate ban remains active, with no musical equipment or awareness-creation activities allowed at the gates.
Students are advised to hold celebratory activities on the main campus grounds and the Old Convocation Square, with all events conducted under strict security supervision as specified in each organization's approval letter.
The management warned that failure to comply with the guidelines will result in disciplinary sanctions. The Dean wished student groups a blissful and hitch-free celebration of their departmental or organizational days.
