The Federal University of Technology, Minna has announced the commencement of its Registration/University's Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE) for the 2026/2027 academic session. The exercise will start on Monday, 15th June, 2026, and end at midnight on Sunday, 9th August, 2026.
Candidates are advised to visit the FUT Minna website at futminna.edu.ng for details on the procedure for online registration, requirements for the screening exercise, procedure for payment, and other general information. A non-refundable fee of Two thousand Naira (N2,000) only is to be paid through REMITA.
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must have selected Federal University of Technology, Minna as their first choice. UTME candidates must have a minimum score of 150, except for courses with higher cut-off marks indicated on the University website. All candidates must possess a minimum of five 'O' level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in subjects relevant to their proposed courses at not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit at National Diploma and/or Higher National Diploma level(s) or Merit at NCE level. UTME candidates who have met the minimum score of 150 and above but do not have the UTME or O'level subjects combination for their chosen courses are eligible to change to any other course whose requirements are met by the candidates. Candidates awaiting O'level results should upload them when they are available.
The application process involves several steps. First, candidates verify their eligibility and course requirements by reviewing the departmental requirements available on the portal. They then initialize their application by entering their JAMB Registration Number and JAMB Score to validate their eligibility as a first-choice candidate who met the minimum 150 cut-off mark.
Next, candidates generate a Remita invoice and pay the non-refundable screening fee of two thousand naira (N2,000) only online using a debit card, internet banking, or by presenting the invoice at a commercial bank branch. After payment, candidates complete the online registration form, providing personal and contact details accurately.
Candidates then upload their O'Level results, inputting their verified O'Level grades (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB). Candidates awaiting results may proceed but must ensure their results are updated on the portal immediately upon release. The O'Level results entered must be identical to those uploaded to the JAMB CAPS profile.
Finally, candidates review all entries for accuracy before submission and download and print the FUTMINNA UPASE Registration Slip as proof of a successful application. The application window is currently active and will close at midnight on Sunday, 9th August, 2026. Applicants are advised to submit their registration well before the deadline to avoid potential portal congestion.
