The University of Nigeria has officially announced the schedule for its highly anticipated 55th Convocation Ceremony.

On behalf of the institution's governing council, management, and senate, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, has extended a warm invitation to the general public, graduates, and stakeholders to join in the multi-day celebration.

The historic event is slated to take place from Wednesday, July 22 to Saturday, July 25, 2026, featuring a series of academic and celebratory events.

• Thursday, July 23, 2026 | 55th Convocation Lecture

Venue: Princess Alexandra Unity Hall and Theatre (PAA), UNN Time: 11:00 AM prompt.

• Friday, July 24, 2026 | Award of First Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates

Venue: Ekpo Convocation Hall

Time: 10:00 AM prompt.

• Saturday, July 25, 2026 | Award of Higher Degrees and Honorary Doctorate Degrees
