Federal University Dutse management has issued a warning to students regarding the increasing disregard for the institution's dress code.

The warning, detailed in a circular dated July 31, 2026, and signed by Acting Director of Academic Affairs Mustapha Aliyu U. Biu, emphasizes that offenders will face disciplinary measures and may be denied access to university facilities.

According to the statement, the university is concerned about the growing number of students violating the approved dress regulations.

The Students' Handbook classifies violations of the dress code as acts of misconduct and a breach of university regulations, making compliance a requirement.

The management has warned that any student found contravening the dress code will not be allowed access to university facilities, including lecture theatres, classrooms, laboratories, libraries, examination halls, and administrative offices.

Such students will also be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the university's rules.

The circular further directs lecturers and all members of staff not to attend to students whose mode of dressing violates the university's dress code.

Security personnel were also instructed to enforce the regulations across the campus.
