OCTOBER, 2026

  • Monday 5 October 2026 – All returning students from 200 level through final year are expected back on campus.
  • Tuesday 6 October 2026 – Online registration opens for returning students enrolling in the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
  • Monday 12 October 2026 – Classes resume for returning students.
  • Wednesday 28 October 2026 – The 149th Senate meeting will be held.

NOVEMBER, 2026

  • Monday 2 November 2026 – The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Lecture takes place.
  • Friday 6 November 2026 – The online registration period for returning students comes to an end.
  • Monday 9 November 2026 – Late registration for returning students begins, subject to a N20,000 penalty.
  • Monday 16 November 2026 – Online registration opens for fresh entrants.
  • Wednesday 25 November 2026 – The 150th Senate meeting is scheduled.

DECEMBER, 2026

  • Monday 7 December 2026 – A university‑wide quiz will be conducted for returning students.
  • Friday 18 December 2026 – The university‑wide Christmas Carols event will be held across all campuses, followed by the distribution of the Christmas productivity bonus. The Christmas/New Year holiday break starts for staff and students.

JANUARY, 2027

  • Friday 1 January 2027 – The Christmas/New Year break concludes.
  • Saturday 2 January 2027 – All students are required to report back to campus.
  • Monday 4 January 2027 – Lectures commence for the entire student body.
  • Friday 8 January 2027 – The registration deadline for fresh students expires.

FEBRUARY, 2027

  • Friday 5 February 2027 – Revision sessions are organized for returning students.
  • Friday 12 February 2027 – The matriculation ceremony for fresh students will be held.

MAY, 2027

  • Wednesday 30 May to Friday 7 June 2027 – Student Union week takes place across all campuses.

JUNE, 2027

  • Wednesday 30 June 2027 – The 155th Senate meeting will convene.

JULY, 2027

  • Friday 16 July 2027 – Lectures conclude for returning students.
  • Monday 19 July to Friday 23 July 2027 – Revision period for returning students.
  • Monday 26 July 2027 – Second‑semester examinations commence for returning students.
  • Wednesday 29 July 2027 – The 156th Senate meeting is planned.

AUGUST, 2027

  • Friday 13 August 2027 – Examinations for returning students finish.
  • Monday 16 August 2027 – Second‑semester examinations begin for fresh students.
  • Wednesday 25 August 2027 – The 157th Senate meeting will take place.
  • Friday 27 August 2027 – Second‑semester examinations for fresh students come to an end.

SEPTEMBER, 2027

  • Wednesday 1 September 2027 – Annual & Performance Review (A & PC) for academic staff.
  • Thursday 2 September 2027 – A & PC for senior administrative and technical staff (SATS).
  • Friday 3 September 2027 – A & PC for junior non‑teaching staff.

OCTOBER, 2027

  • Monday 4 October 2027 – Returning students re‑enter campus for the first semester of the 2026/2027 session.
  • Monday 11 October 2027 – Lectures start for the students who have returned.
